§ 5.08.125. Conditions on secondhand dealer licenses.

(a)

The City Council may place conditions, limitations or restrictions upon a secondhand dealer's license. Such conditions may include but are not limited to prohibiting a secondhand dealer from:

(1)

Dealing in both precious metals and other types of secondhand goods at the same location;

(2)

Pawnbrokering at the same location;

(3)

Engaging in a business subject to regulation under NRS Chapter 604A at the same location.

(b)

For purposes of this section, the term "precious metals" shall mean gold, silver, platinum or palladium or objects made in whole or in part therefrom. The term includes, but is not limited to, jewelry and melted precious metals. The term excludes coins made of precious metals and appliances to the extent that small amounts of precious metals are incorporated into the appliances solely for their functionality such as in electrical circuits.
