§ 12.24.070. Termination of service.

  • (1)

    A customer may terminate service by giving not less than five days' advance notice to the city, and provide a mailing address to which the closing bill will be mailed. Failure to notify the city of termination of service shall not relieve the customer of responsibility for payment of reclaimed water bills.

    (2)

    The city may terminate service:

    a.

    For nonpayment of a bill if the bill is not paid within 30 days after its due date, provided the city has given the customer at least five days prior notice of such termination.

    b.

    For a customer's failure to comply with this chapter, state laws governing use of reclaimed water or for any negligence, unsafe, damaging or fraudulent use of service.
